Mengekstrak Data Openstreetmap Dengan Menggunakan Overpass Turbo

Kita sudah familiar dengan peta dasar opensource yaitu Openstreetmap. Pada tutorial ini akan membahas mengenai cara untuk mengexport data OpenStreetMap  dengan menggunakan Overpass Turbo. dengan menggunakan Overpasss Turbo kita dapat melakukan query data openstreetmap yang lebih spesifik kemudian mendownload datanya tanpa perlu mendownload keseluruhan data Openstreetmap.

Overpass Turbo

Overpass Turbo merupakan website yang digunakan untuk melakukan query data openstreetmap dan juga mengekstrak data yang dapat berupa jalan, penutup lahan, infrastruktur, point of interes, dan data lainnya yang tersedia di Openstreetmap. Openstreetmap memiliki kategori objek yang dapat dilihat di OpenStreetMap wiki. Adapun contoh informasi yang terdapat pada Openstreetmap wiki sebagai berikut

Penggunaan website Overpass Turbo memiliki keterbatasan dalam melakukan ekstraksi data. Apabila data yang diekstrak terlalu banyak akan mengakibatkan data membutuhkan waktu lama untuk diproses dan akan memperlambar browser karena semua data yang diekstrak akan ditampilkan dalam browser. Apabila ingin mengekstrak data yang lebih banyak dapat menggunakan Overpass API, karena tanpa menggunakan interface peta namun berupa web service.

Overpass turbo ini dapat membantu dalam pengembangan overpass API dan mengekstrak data yang kecil.

Menu dari Overpass Turbo terdiri dari

  1. Run : Untuk menjalankan proses ekstraksi data berdasarkan kriteria query dalam texbox
  2. Share: untuk membagikan hasil query dalam bentuk url
  3. Export: untuk menyimpan hasil dari query
  4. Wizard: untuk mempermudah membuat query hanya dengan memasukkan kata kunci
  5. Save: untuk menyimpan parameter query
  6. Load: untuk membuka parameter query yang tersimpan dan contoh query yang telah disediakan

Pada peta akan menampilkan hasil query dari overpass turbo sedangkan tampilan data akan menampilkan data hasil query dalam format xml openstreetmap yang dapat dicopy dan digunakan untuk keperluan lainnya.

Apabila masih belum pernah menggunakan Overpass Turbo dapat memanfaatkan contoh-contoh yang telah disediakan dan mempermudah untuk memahami bentuk parameter query dari Overpass Turbo. sebagai contoh “MapCSS styling” maka akan tampil sebagai berikut

Melakukan Query Overpass Turbo

Saat pertama kali membuka Overpass Turbo, code yang sudah ada sebagai berikut

Code ini akan melakukan query untuk data yang berupa tode/titik. Hasil query yaitu dengan key “amenity” dengan nilai “drinking_water” dengan data yang diambil sesuai dengan peta yang ditampilkan dalam tampilan peta. Data lainnya dapat dilihat dari  link OpenStreetMap wiki.

Setelah mendapatkan data sesuai keinginan di Overpass Turbo maka dapat menyimpan data tersebut dengan mengklik menu Export. Adapun jenis file yang dapat disimpat yaitu geoJSON, GPX, KML, dan data raw. Selain itu dapat juga disimpan sebagai web service sebagaimana gambar berikut.
