Sebelum melakukan pemrosesan citra di GEE sebaiknya kita menentukan dan menginput area of interest (AOI) terlebih dahulu, agar pemrosesan citra lebih efisien. Untuk melakukan input AOI kita dapat menggunakan 2 metode berikut:
- Melakukan input AOI dengan mengimport shape files menggunakan Table Upload pada Assets. Cara ini dianjurkan jika kita mempunyai wilayah studi dengan AOI yang sudah spesifik contohnya batas konsesi, batas kawasan, dan batas administrasi.
- Melakukan input AOI dengan menggambarkan AOI on screen dengan menggunakan titik ataupun polygon.
