Efisiensi Pengumpulan Data Menggunakan Platform Digital (Kobo Collect-001)

Pengumpulan data merupakan salah satu proses utama dalam penelitian ataupun kajian ilmiah terutama, khususnya yang berkaitan dalam spatial sequence. Data yang bersifat primer erat kaitannya diperoleh melalui proses pengambilan secara langsung di lapangan ataupun melalui proses in-depth interview atau bahkan melalui kuisioner singkat terhadap permasalahan yang dikaji. di Era teknologi saat ini, terdapat beberapa platform/tools yang dapat membantu proses pengumpulan data secara efisien dan cepat namun juga tetap dapat menyampaikan informasi secara akurat. platform tersebut seperti layaknya google form, survey monkey dan platform sejenis yang juga bersifat sebagai tools untuk pengumpulan data. diantara beberapa platform tersebut, ada sebuah platform bernama Kobotoolbox (Computer-Assisted Personal Interview) yang bersifat opensource dan merupakan hasil dari berbagai pengembangan yang diperoleh dari pengalaman pengumpulan data di lapangan.

Kobo menjadi salah satu platform yang sangat powerfull untuk digunakan dalam kegiatan pengumpulan data karena sifatnya yang mudah digunakan untuk terapan proses yang sederhana ataupun rumit sekalipun. Pada prinsipnya platform ini menggunakan kombinasi dari server sebagai pusat penyedia, pemrosesan & analisis dari tally sheet/kuisioner dan sebagai penyimpanan utama yang kemudian dipasangkan pada perangkat kita yang sering digunakan dalam pengumpulan data seperti tablet, smartphone ataupun gadget lainnya yang berperan sebagai media pengisian secara peer to peer yang bisa disetting kedalam mode offline sekalipun. selain itu juga opsi untuk input data melalui browser juga masih mungkin dilakukan sebagai salah satu media untuk penjaringan kuisioner dalam kasus penelitian tertentu yang membutuhkan banyak responden. Metode ini tentu lebih baik secara kinerja waktu dan effort yang dibutuhkan apabila dibandingkan dengan proses pengumpulan data secara manual menggunakan catatan kertas (Takdir, 2019).

Beberapa kelebihan dan manfaat yang melekat didalam penggunaan platform kobo untuk pengambilan data dalam siklus penelitian antara lain sebagai berikut :
1. Tersedia fitur form builder yang mudah dibuat dan didesign.
Dapat diproses dengan beberapa terapan kompleksitas seperti skip logic, ataupun validasi terhadap sebuah jawaban yang muncul terhadap opsi yang muncul pada pertanyaan berikutnya.

2. Variabilitas tipe pertanyaan.
Terdapat setidaknya 20 jenis pertanyaan yang dapat diajukan mulai dari text, voice record, video record, multiples choice hingga geo-location. pada fitur geo-location dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai ringkasan cepat dari titik-titik koordinat sampel/responden yang diambil.

3. Online dan Offline mode (Sinkronisasi otomatis)
Proses pengumpulan data dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan browser, smartphone ataupun tablet bahkan dalam keadaan offline sekalipun (misal pada area terisolir) yang memungkinkan kita untuk melakukan proses analisa data selanjutnya secara langsung.

4. Ringkasan dan ekstraksi data dalam berbagai format secara real-time
dengan proses input data secara real time, maka proses pembuatan ringkasan hasil data secara real time berdasarkan kategori pertanyaan dapat langsung dipantau melalui server yang dibuat, sehingga persebaran data juga dapat dimonitor setiap saat. selain daripada itu, proses ekstraksi data yang mudah untuk proses pengolahan selanjutnya jelas lebih efisien daripada penggunaan metode manual.
